Directions to IMCO

IMCO is located within the NOAA Silver Spring campus, which is comprised of four buildings (SSMC1, SSMC2, SSMC3 and SSMC4) located at the intersection of Colesville Road and East-West Highway. It is an easy walk from the Silver Spring Metro Station. Limited parking is available under the four building complex, in garage 58, P3 on this location sheet (The location sheet requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.). Other public lots are available at locations P1 (Cameron and 2nd Avenue Garage, 8530 Cameron Street) and P2 (Bonifant-Dixon Garage, 1101 Bonifant Drive).

There are also private parking garages near the NOAA campus. A map of private parking, along with pricing, can be found here.

By METRO

Take the Red Line to Silver Spring. If you are coming from downtown Washington, DC, take the escalator steps toward the back of the train. If you're coming South from Wheaton, take the escalator steps toward the front of the train. Continue out of the station turning toward the left. Walking under the train tracks, to the left diagonally across the court yard and the entry point to 1325 (SSMC2) is the main rotating door on the left between the two buildings. A map showing the path from the metro is located here.

Follow Colesville Road in the center lane until you reach downtown Silver Spring and cross Georgia Avenue, then merge into the left lane. The next street is East-West Highway, Route 410. Make a left at the light onto East-West Highway. At the third building with the "Hand" in front, make a left into Garage 58.

Or take exit 31-B, MD-97S/Georgia Avenue, south to Colesville Road. Turn right onto Colesville Road into the left lane. Make a left at the third light onto East-West Highway. At the third building, with the "Hand" in front, make a left into Garage 58.
